Berkshireonstage.com named the best and the worst of the summer season on stage. Obviously, the musical "Tommy" starred by Randy was listed as one of the best of the summer 2011!

The Habit of Art received the "Helen Hayes Awards Recommended".

The show has been awarded from a panel that attends theatre plays. This award entitles the winner to the use of the "Helen Hayes Awards Recommended" logo, in order to support the show promotion.

Both Auden and Britten are revealed to be gay, although Britten, like Bennett, is far less comfortable with what that actually means. And one of the play’s most poignant moments seems to touch on both subjects, when the Australian “rent boy” (Randy Harrison) Auden has taken an interest in expresses his longing to understand what the other two men are talking about, instead of being excluded from art. “There’s always someone left,” he says. “You all have a map. I don’t.”

"But Tim (Randy Harrison), who plays the rent-boy within “Caliban’s Day,” has the most thematically important role. He articulates how biography whitewashes sex workers like himself, and Tim (the actor) shows the most enthusiasm over getting inside his character. At varying ages, these men realistically reflect how time and experience inform their craft. While the playwright frets and the stage managers gently coerce, the actors who play actors stunningly convey multiple meanings, often within the same line."

Yesterday evening (September 7th, 2011) was the opening night of the play "Habit of art." On The Studio Theatre website, you will find more informations. Click HERE.

An update about the "Gayby" project: they needed 15 thousand dollars, and now the counter on the website is at 16,154 so that should mean they reached and surpassed their goal! We're waiting for more informations.

Randy, along with some of his friends like Jack Ferver, Matt Wilkas and Jenn Harris from "Qwan", Bridget Everett and Kenny Mellman, has been busy helping another friend, Jonathan Lisecki, shoot a movie in New York.
It's the story of a woman (Jenn) who wants to have a child and so she asks her gay friend (Matt) to help her. The only problem is that she wants to get pregnant in the traditional way ...

The production of the movie needs 15 thousand dollars starting from saturday. You can check this website Kickstarter.com for details (and donations).
