We have an interview with Randy, Bob Ari and the director Anders Cato about the play "Red" from the website
Centraljersey.com.
Here you can read what Randy and Bob Ari said:
Starring opposite Ari is Randy Harrison from Showtime’s “Queer as Folk” in the role of Ken. This is Harrison’s first two-person play and he was thrilled to do it upon reading the script for the first time.
”This play encompasses so many things. It’s about an artist’s life, the process of creation, the really strong conflict between generations of art battling it out, a mentor/student relationship, a father/son relationship; it has it all,” Harrison says. “It’s a thrilling role to do. My character is super excited and you build up to these really cathartic moments that my character has as the show progresses.”While Ken begins the play in awe of Rothko and his art, he slowly grows to distrust the artist, who has accepted $30,000 for the job but preaches about sticking to one’s principles and grand ideals."
