Meetings: Randy at the Joe's Pub

OK, before I say anything else… YES! Gale was in the audience at tonight’s show. He came in with another man who my friends said he was with at Saturday’s soccer game. They sat at the bar in the back of the room. I could see him periodically when I turned to talk to my friends… I wasn’t spying or anything! Really!

He really seemed to enjoy the show… and did actually give Randy’s performance an enthusiastic response complete with a “whoop” or two! He made his way backstage after the show… I got a chance to speak to him for a few minutes as he was leaving… Asked him how he liked the show, to which he responded, “I hated it.” I said something like, “It didn’t look that way from where I was sitting.” He laughed and said he was only kidding. He seemed to really enjoy Bridget’s performance tonight and we both agreed she was unreal… I shook his hand and he walked off stopping a moment or two to chat with Jenn Harris.

And since I do this for Randy, I’ll do it for Gale too. He wore a grey T-shirt, black leather jacket, blue jeans, white Nike sneakers and a brown newsboy cap.

Oh, yeah… Randy performed tonight too! He and James Barry recreated their first OHP performance by coming out dressed as an altar boy and priest. Randy did a lengthy set-up and then launched into a rather impressive rendition of Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep.”

Randy watched the rest of the show from the step behind our table. He sat next to James and it wasn’t completely clear whether or not he knew Gale was there at that point. He had on a basic white T-shirt and jeans… Of course he hid in the back during the finale as usual, even standing in the same spot! Although I do think I got a few more glimpses of him than I did last time! LOL! He left with his friends from a different door a few minutes after Gale left.
